Observing the Animals of the Forest with Little Red Riding Hood (FAIRYTALE ENCYCLOPEDIA)

This book is really fun! It was a bit of a twist on the well-known tale of Little Red Riding Hood, as Little Red explored a forest in Europe on her way to her grandma’s house. This was a fun book to read! However, I hoped that the “encyclopedia” part of the book would’ve had more animals that could be found in North America. Because this book only covers a tiny portion of animals and doesn’t cover animals on all the continents, I don’t know if I would call it an encyclopedia. The storyline was very interesting and informational, but the story seemed to end abruptly on the last page, which I did not care for.

You could just read the book as a storybook, or you could pause and read the fold-out informational pages too, or you could just read the informational pages alone. This is a fun book to explore and I would like to check out the other books in the series.
