O is for Oklahoma: Written by Kids for Kids (See My State)
This is a fun book series about the states. It’s written by kids which is neat because they know what other kids like. The book has the alphabet from A to Z and each letter has a sentence or more about something from the state. So they say that F is for Farms in this book about Oklahoma. Then it says, “On a farm I see cute baby chicks. And sometimes, fresh green peas I can pick!” I like farms so I think I’d like Oklahoma, but I don’t like that V is for Vortex because I don’t like tornados. These books are a great way for kids to learn a little about each of the states and they have nice pictures to go along with the writing which makes it easier to imagine being in the state, but I don’t know if the pictures were all really taken in the state the book is about.
