Norman the Slug with the Silly Shell
Norman is a slug that thinks snails are truly amazing. They can make towers with their shells, and Norman wants to join in their fun game, too! But the mean snails say Norman can only play if he also has a shell.
Norman tries a bunch of different shells. Some are too bouncy, some are too noisy, and some are already taken. Finally, Norman finds the perfect shell – a donut!
With his new shell tied onto his slimy body, Norman is able to play happily with the snails. But then a bird flies down out of the sky and snatches Norman, “shell” and all, into the air! Will Norman escape before becoming the bird’s dinner? Will he live to regret trying to turn himself into a snail instead of appreciating just being a slug? Are there any wise lessons to be learned from this experience? You bet! Read this cute book to find out for yourself!
I liked this story and the bright, colorful, funny pictures. I also enjoyed how Norman tried on a lot of really silly shells!
