Nipper and the Lunchbox
My mom says I always forget things all around the house. Richard, the owner of a toy store, forgets his lunch box one day on his way to work, and Nipper, his dog, sees it at home. Nipper worries that Richard won’t have any food to eat for lunch so sets off to find Richard and bring his lunch box to his papa. Along the way, Nipper rides a bus, gets lost, and meets a lot of people, and a lot of people see him carrying the lunch box and help him along the way. It all works out well in the end.
The drawings in Nipper and the Lunchbox by Lucy Dillamore were fun, and the words were pretty easy to read. The story was nice, and it made me feel happy. And it also reminded me not to forget stuff around the house because we don’t have a dog. I think this book would be good for kids who don’t read yet but listen to books being read and for early readers, too.
