Never Mess with a Pirate Princess! shows that girls can be just as tough or even tougher than boys! The story is full of pictures that are colorful and it tells about Princess Prudence, who has a few stuffed animals that she loves, but not as much as her royal bear, Little Ted, who she takes around everywhere and gets to do royal things with her.

One day, while Princess Prudence is taking a nap with Little Ted, a pirate comes and takes him from her, which doesn’t make the princess happy at all. People come to help her get Ted back, but none of them take her seriously enough to let her join them. So Princess Prudence goes by herself on an adventure to fight the pirates and get back her royal Ted!

The story is exciting and makes me feel good that I’m a girl like Princess Prudence, but also that I might not be able to do everything that she did! I love that there is a happy ending for everyone!
