My Pen
There is a boy who loves to write and think about things a lot. And so he takes a pen and draws stuff, like World War I. He was thinking about other people and he drew how he loved them and sailing to Africa. He says sometimes he feels bad because he is not like a movie star or super rich, but then he remembers he can draw with his pen and make things be the way he wants. He draws crazy sneakers with his pen that have satellites on them, or an x-ray with a butterfly inside him. He draws whatever he wants with his pen, but sometimes he doesn’t draw it like he wants, or he loses his pen. But everyone has their own pens inside them.
I didn’t really like this book because the pictures are just black and white, but they have a lot of things to look at in them. I like the picture of the elephant in the teacup and some of the other pictures too. The pen represents your mind and your imagination. This says that all you need is your imagination, and that is true, because if you have your imagination you can do anything.
