My Monster Moofy
My Monster Moofy is about a little girl and her monster, who is named Moofy. Moofy gets described in lots of different ways by the little girl. The girl says that Moofy has pointy ears like tortilla chips, hides under her bed like a chameleon, and helps mix muffins with mango! There are more things that Moofy can do and ways that Moofy looks. While reading the book, my mom said that the things said about Moofy are called figures of speech. The different figures of speech in the story include cliches, similes, alliteration, and personification. I didn’t know that there were so many things to call the words that you write.
I liked the story of My Monster Moofy because of Moofy. Moofy is fun to read about, especially when there are ways to make the monster sound cool and scary at the same time. I liked just reading the story and not so much when my mom tried to explain each part of it. It was confusing to figure out the different parts of speech, but I like how they made the story more fun to read!
