My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, Vol. 8 (8)
Not everyone is cut out to be a hero. Some are cut out to be villains. And others don’t want to follow the rules laid out for the heroes, preferring to use their powers to serve the people without legal sanction. They’re not quite heroes, but they’re not quite villains either, rather they’re vigilantes.
You don’t need to be familiar with the My Hero Academia world to read the Vigilantes spin-off series, but I don’t recommend jumping in the middle of the series as I did. The exception to this if you just want to read the Aizawa back-story that starts at the end of vol. 8 and will continue into vol. 9. The characters are easy to tell apart, each has unique characteristics that make them different. They also have their own voices, though a few felt like they were copied from the main series.
