If you are a fan of mythical creatures then this is the book for you! While the text inside is short and simple for younger readers, it does include some important information such as the name, area of origin, and a short paragraph about each creature.

The illustrations of each monster are very detailed, right down to the very smallest features, such as the Minotaur’s wrist cuffs. To make the illustrations even better, they pop out from the center of the page! I love this pop-up book!

While I was familiar with many of the creatures included in the book, there were some I did not know about, such as the Shachihoko, a spiky sea beast from Japan. This book is super fun to read while the monsters pop out at every turn of the page!
