I reviewed #MurderTrending by Gretchen McNeil. This was a very engrossing book. It follows Dee, an 18 year old, who has been thrown into an island prison called Alcatraz 2.0 when she was wrongly convicted of killing her stepsister, Monica. Dee struggles for survival as people and her friends all around her are being picked off one by one. The Postman, the owner of Alcatraz 2.0, has started a reality show. His “Painiacs” aka “Killers” set up elaborate torture scenes to kill the world’s “Most Wanted Killers.” When Dee finds out that half the people on the island who are also struggling for survival were framed just like her, she and her friends hatch a plan to ruin the Postman’s diabolical plan. When she realizes that somebody evil from her past has something to do with this, she instantly wants to fight it even more. This was a very beautiful book that was very well written! I really hope there is a part two! I give it five stars.
