Mousetropolis
In the city of Mousetropolis, City Mouse is annoyed. His next door neighbors are being very noisy. City Mouse decides he needs a break so he chooses to visit his friend Country Mouse. When he gets there, he means well but he expected to find better meals than seeds and rice. And even though the music is good, when he lies down to sleep, it’s much too quiet and much too hot. He has an idea and Country Mouse thinks it sounds good. His idea is to go back to Mousetropolis and bring Country Mouse with him. Country Mouse has fun with all the food and partying, but a shocking surprise sends him scurrying back to home sweet home.
I like this book because it’s the basic story of the Country Mouse and City Mouse, but not exactly. In this story, they have their own city instead of living in the walls of a house. There are hundreds of colorful buildings in Mousetropolis. I really like the illustrations. They are cute, colorful, and clear. I’m 9 years old and I really like this book, but my little sister is 4 and she likes it too, so it’s good for lots of ages. Maybe you like mice living in your walls, maybe you don’t. But whichever you like, you’ll still love this book.
