More Than Enough

This book is about a family preparing for a holiday called Passover. It is a holiday when they all get together with their big family and celebrate by eating a big meal, singing and saying “dayenu” which means being happy for everything you have.

They begin looking for food at the market. At the market there is a shelter hosting a little kitten. The kids love the kitten and mom says they can keep him. They are very grateful and rush to tell their dad when they get back home. They cook together, take a bath and dress up. They go to Nana’s and bring their new cat. They all eat and sing together, and they play a game where they have to find a little piece of bread (who finds it, get a little prize).

They finish with a snuggle with nana and a sleepover at her house.

This book is so sweet! I would like to get a kitten too, and the food that family was eating seemed yummy. It also made me think of when my mom and dad tell me to be grateful for the things I have, as when you are grateful nice things happen to you.
