Monsuno Combat Chaos, Vol. 2: Revenge/Sacrifice
I have never heard of Monsuno Combat Chaos before I got this, but I’m so happy I gave this book a chance! It is a full color graphic novel but it reminded me of The Last Airbender and Pokemon. There are five teens and each has a monsuno, which is like a pet that fights with them, and there are three bad guys; they must fight against the mutated Monsunos to find a way out of the underground lab they are trapped in.
I really liked Beyal and Glowblade. She is a monk who has a special mental connection with her monsuno and is the only one of the teens who can do it. Glowblade is like a giant scorpion and Beyal can command it mentally. This team shows how important teamwork is and that each has their own special skill. I would really recommend this book for all ages, especially if you like superheros. You won’t be able to wait for the next book in this set to come out!
