Monster Needs a Party

I love this story because I love all the monsters books. I love the whimsical rhymes in the story. It makes it a lot of fun to read and listen to. This story is about Monsters birthday, and he wants a pirate party, but none of his friends can come. Monster is very sad at first, but he and the boy decide to go to Pirate land. They have a great time going on all the rides, playing the games, eating candied apples, and having root beer floats. The funniest part of the story was when they rode the Maelstrom mixer. It was so funny because they were spinning around and thought they were going to get sick. Another cool part was when they went through the haunted house. My favorite part was when he got the surprise at the end. I love how he had to wipe his eyes to see if the surprise was real. I would tell my friends to read this book because it’s a good book and they like surprises just like me and the monster.
