Minions Volume 1: Banana!
This book is about Minions and their secret underground lab. Their boss is a minion who has three sharp teeth sticking out the bottom of his mouth. He wears a red construction cap and he doesn’t like them having fun. The minions are not working hard at all, but are having fun instead. On my favorite page, a minion leaves a piece of cheese out for a mouse. When the mouse comes to eat it, he slams a cage down and zaps the mouse with some sort of machine that makes him super smart and understand robotics. A few days later, there’s a banana left out. While the minion who zapped the mouse is eating it, a cage drops down and the mouse gets him. He shoots him with a gun that makes him turn into cheese.
This book is a lot like a bunch of comic strips. There’s a different story on every page. It is a very funny book because the minions are always making mistakes and doing stuff that they shouldn’t. It’s good for little kids because there aren’t many words, except for thought bubbles, but it’s good for big kids because there’s a lot of cool technology and dangerous stuff. The illustrations are funny, detailed, and full of surprises, but I’m not going to tell you the specifics because that’s the fun of reading it.
