Mila 2.0: Renegade
Mila has only one person left in the world who she can trust. Hunter is a sweet, sensitive hot guy who traveled across half the country to help her when her mother died. But Mila has been lying to him to protect him; he doesn’t even know Mila is an android. Mila is running from the VO, an organization that wants to cut her up and sell her technology to the masses, and also from the military, who wants to capture her and keep her from embarrassing the general. Before her mom died, she whispered a few names to Mila: Richard Grady and Sarah. Mila needs to find out who Richard Grady is and if he can help her. As Mila and Hunter travel the country searching for answers, they keep growing closer, but how can Mila ever love someone if all she is is a machine?
Mila is ridiculous in this book. She lies, and lies, and lies, thinking, “Oh, if I tell Hunter the truth, he won’t like me anymore!” and then, when Hunter discovers the truth on his own and is upset with her for not telling him, she frets that he doesn’t like her anymore. She is whiny and irrational and continually repeats her tedious insecurities.
