Mighty Jack and the Goblin King
I think Mighty Jack and the Goblin King was a good book. The Mighty Jack series is a series of graphic novels/comic books. This is the second book in the series. In this book, Jack looses his sister, Maddy, when she is taken by an ogre. Jack and Lilly must now fight all kinds of creatures to save Maddy from the realm. This book has a lot of factors that I like. First off, there is adventure. I like how the Mighty Jack books are very adventurous, with the other realms and the fighting. Instead of the old, boring, basic Jack and the Beanstalk, this is a better, more interesting version that I think kids who have outgrown stories like the original Jack and the Beanstalk will like. Second of all, I like the mythical essence of the book. I love the creatures in the story and the fact that the author came up with such an idea. I truly loved the book, and it was a really good read.
