Middle School-Safety Goggles Advised
Middle School: Safety Goggles Advised is a good book. If I could give it as many stars as I wanted, I would give it a million stars! The only problem I found with it is that the authors used examples showing a perfect middle school. That really disconcerted me since nowhere is perfect. This book is almost like an activity book. Each chapter starts with questions. Then there is an illustration of the topic, notes, and statements from middle schoolers, and a Choose your Own Adventure. At the very end of the chapter, they have two challenges that have something to do with the topics. Some of the topics covered are crushes, social media issues, and stress. I think that this book would really help children in third grade to sixth grade, so they know what to expect in middle school. Older kids would probably already know these things. Middle School: Safety Goggles Advised would be a bad library book because the best thing to do is write in the book.
