Merry Christmas, Ollie (Reader) (Gossie & Friends)

I was happy to read this book because my little brother really loves ducks and geese. We have read a lot of the Ollie stories because he likes them so much. Merry Christmas, Ollie! is a cute book about a funny little gosling named Ollie who really wants Christmas to come! He hops and stomps through the snow to see if Father Christmas is coming. Ollie asks his friends Gossie and Gertie if Christmas is here yet. He also asks his friend the sheep. “I want Christmas!” he shouts. It is so cute to see how the goslings get ready for Christmas. They even hang their stockings and boots in the barn! The pictures in this book are very colorful and fun. I feel like these illustrations put the reader on the same level as the animals. This book is so sweet that there really wasn’t anything about the book I didn’t like. A young reader who is four or five years old and who likes Christmas will like this book.
