Mermaid Dreams
Mermaid Dreams is about a little girl named Maya who went to the beach with her parents and wanted to play. Her parents said they wanted to relax and that she should find someone else to play with. Maya was too shy to ask anyone else. Her eyes got heavy and she fell asleep on her turtle floaty. She dreamed she was a mermaid and met lots of sea creatures and then a new mermaid friend. She woke up after she met her new friend and then met an actual new friend.
I liked the pictures in the book because I like drawing, and they are like my drawings. I like the details in the pictures, like the spots on the snake, and how it gave it its own personality. My favorite part of the book was the last page when she met a new friend. I also liked the part when she became a mermaid, because I really like mermaids. There were no parts of the book that I didn’t like. I really want the author to make another book like this one, and if they could make the mermaid to be named Ellie or Elaina that would be cool!
