Me Too, Grandma!
Me Too, Grandma! is a colorful children’s book about the process of accepting changes to our life and others’. It follows a big brother who wants to win back his grandma’s attention over a baby cousin, Lily. It seems like grandma only pays attention to Lily now and not him. Time after time, he tries to gain her attention back, but no matter how hard he tries, grandma always seems to stick with Lily. Not only that but she can’t even play games with him!
This book translates the message it’s trying to give in a clear and fun way. It certainly pays attention to detail, such as the whole story taking place at night or the pattern on the owl’s wings. It says a lot about dealing with siblings, and even I found it quite relatable, even though the target was for much younger kids than me. This certainly is a beautiful children’s book in many ways.
