This is the second book in the Max Einstein series. Max is a twelve-year-old orphan who doesn’t know who she is. She loves Albert Einstein. She is a team leader for the Change Makers Institute. Her team is a bunch of genius kids trying to change the world for the better. In this book, they tackle the problem of clean drinking water in Ireland and India. Dr. Zimm is Max’s adversary. He works for the Corp. They want to make a bunch of money. They also want Max to create a quantum computer to make them more money. Max is not interested, so Dr. Zimm tries to kidnap her repeatedly. Will they clean the water? Will the Corp kidnap Max? Read the book to find out.

Once I started this book, I couldn’t stop. It was a page-turner. The parts with Dr. Zimm were exciting. Some of the problem solving didn’t seem very realistic. I liked the educational drawings. They showed the designs for some of the technology of things they created or encountered. They weren’t as educational as I would have liked them to be. They seemed to be more like doodles. Some of the comments the characters made could reinforce cultural stereotypes. I liked the activities in the back. I look forward to reading more books in this series.
