Max at Night is a book about Max, a black cat who is getting ready to go to bed. He is trying to tell everyone good night, but can’t find Moon. So Max goes on a hunt to find Moon. He crawls over dogs, up trees, over buildings and rooftops and finally to the highest hill. When he still can’t find Moon, Max gets upset and yells for Moon. Finally the wind helps Max find him. Max can finally go to bed. I think this is a funny and silly book. I thought it was pretty weird when Max crawled back over the dog at the end of the book. He took a really long trip just to find the Moon so he could go to bed. I think it is funny because he says good night to so many things. I like Max the cat, but why does he have a blue nose and such big yellow eyes? The pictures were interesting and made Max look really cute. I especially liked the one with the big yellow moon. I would recommend this book to my friends and teachers to read. I really liked it.
