This book is about a person making a painting. It describes how she sets it up. It gives details about her tools. She doesn’t know what to paint. She looks at other people’s paintings for inspiration. The pages show other people’s paintings and explain how they are classified. In the end, she decides to paint everything! She paints all the other famous paintings in a normal landscape. I like her painting. There are portraits at the hat shop. Some of the paintings aren’t signs. They are just parts of the scenery, like the puppy on the street. Her painting is a “Search and Find” game. Then, there’s an answer key and descriptions of all the paintings and the painters.

This is a picture book. I learned several new facts. I didn’t know about the human hair on the statue “Little Dancer.” I’ve heard of some of the artists before, like Vincent Van Gogh, Mary Cassatt, Claude Monet, and Edgar Degas. I don’t care for the boxing painting. My favorites are the animal portraits. This book is a fun introduction to art! I like this book!
