Martha Speaks: Meet Martha Bilingual Reader (Spanish and English Edition)
Meet Martha is about a dog named Martha who can talk. She used to be a normal dog who barked, but when she ate some alphabet soup, she could suddenly use words like people! I think it would be very useful to be able to talk to your dog to know what he needs!
It is funny how Martha surprises people by talking. I would be surprised if my dog talked to me, too! I also like when Martha says, “I have a lot to say!” because she does talk an awful lot. And, it is hilarious when baby Jake is eating Martha’s alphabet soup out of her dog bowl! Yuck!
I enjoyed reading the Spanish in the book. I have always wanted to learn more Spanish words, and reading a book with English and Spanish together helps me to know how to say words in another language! I love the cards in the back of the book because they are useful to help me learn new Spanish words.
My only complaint about the book is that it is too short. Martha is a very funny dog, and I would have liked to see more pages added to the book, showing Martha being silly.
