Maisy Goes to London
This story is all about a mouse named Maisy who goes to London, England, with her friends named Tallulah, Cyril, and Charley. They went to London on a class trip. They travel around the city and they take in sights such as Piccadilly Circus and the Tower of London. The illustrations in this book look very cartoon-ish. One thing that surprised me about this story was that I didn’t realize that there is an aquarium in London. My favorite part of this story is when Maisy and her friends visit the gift shop. While there, she buys some souvenirs.
This book really makes me want to visit London, and the things I’d like to see the most are the London Eye and Piccadilly Circus, of course. My uncle is going to London soon! A quote from this story that I really liked is, “’I LOVE LONDON!’, says Maisy.” This book would be great for younger kids (4 – 8) who enjoy learning about places around the world and who like stories about Maisy! I enjoyed reading other books about Maisy since I was very little.
