Mac Undercover

This book is about a kid named Mac. He lives in California. One day, the Queen of England calls him and asks him to be her spy and to recover the stolen Crown jewels. She sends Mac some money, and he gets on a plane to England. He falls asleep. When he wakes up, his Game Boy is missing! Mac goes to the Tower Of London and meets the Queen of England. She thinks the King of France stole the Crown jewels because she has a note that says he did it. Mac goes on a hovercraft to France.

I like that the author wrote this book about himself. This book takes place in the 1980s. I hope there’s a sequel. I learned about history. This book is very educational. I think it’s good for a book club. My favorite characters are Mac and Freddie. Freddie is a dog. I think this book is funny. This book is good for people seven and up. I really like the drawings. I’ve seen a lot of this illustrator’s work before.
