Lulu and the Witch Baby

Lulu and the Witch Baby is the story of an older sibling experiencing jealousy when a new baby enters the family. Lulu is jealous that Witch Baby gets all the attention and never gets in trouble. Like many older siblings, Lulu wishes her baby had never arrived. Being a witch, Lulu is able to create a spell to make her new baby disappear. What happens when Lulu witch tries her hand at magic and what will Mama Witch think when she comes home?

I am just starting to read and was able to read this book on my own, with little help from my mom. I did not like how Lulu talked about Baby Witch, She said “She did not love Witch Baby at all”, and also refers to Baby Witch as bad, saying “…she was bad a lot.” She shouts, “You are the worst baby ever.” I think it would hurt my little sister’s feelings if I shouted those things to her.

I would recommend Lulu and the Witch Baby to other kids who are having a new baby.
