Lula and the Sea Monster

Lula is a little girl that must move from her beach home due to a highway being put in. While Lula is exploring small tide pools before moving, she finds a small sea creature that she names Bean. Lula saves the small creature from being eaten by a seagull and moves it to a larger tidepool so it can hide better from predators. Lula sits with, feeds, talks, and takes care of it daily. Every day when Lula comes to visit, the sea monster has grown bigger. Lula continues to find the sea monster bigger tide pools to live in and continues to feed and talk to him daily. Just as she goes to tell Bean good-bye, he is nowhere to be found. The bulldozers come to tear her home down and build a highway, but little does Lula know, Bean has grown even more, and he doesn’t want her to move away either. Lula decides to stand in the way of the bulldozer crew and Bean helps in his own way. Will Lula and Bean be able to save her home? Lula and Bean is the story of true friendship.
