Lucy is having a terrible day and it only seems to get worse. Lucy falls down a mountain, bumps her head, and gets snow stuck to her butt. As she falls down the mountain, she meets a mountain man and asks for help. When he fails to help her, she continues to fall down the mountain and bumps into all kinds of creatures, such as a duck and a pile of bears. Lucy realizes that sometimes you just have to make the best of a bad day and give yourself a hug and try to go with the flow. She ends up rolling into a snowball and makes her way down the mountain. She finds out that there is no harm in a bad day, and hot cocoa will take the blues away.

The illustrations in this book are absolutely hilarious and go well with the words, making this book hilarious to read aloud with children. This book would be a great read aloud to young children to help them acknowledge that they are allowed to have bad days too, and every day starts fresh. Adults can relate to this book as well because sometimes bad days do make you feel as if you are a snowball hurtling down a mountain.
