Lucy & Andy Neanderthal: The Stone Cold Age
This is the second book in the series. This one is about the Ice Age. Lucy and Andy are kid Neanderthals. They live in a cave with their clan. Early humans come to stay with them. It’s kind of small for all of them. They look for another cave for the early humans. They have to look out for cave bears. The kids have a snowball fight. They get tired of the snow. They go on a trip to the beach. (It wasn’t frozen everywhere during the Ice Age.) They play in the water and trade shells. They make music. An early human has a baby. They find a cave, but there is a cave bear in it. Can they get the cave bear out? Read the book to find out.
This book is a graphic novel. I like the animal drawings best. There are paleontologists in between sections. They talk about the topic of the last chapter. They give facts. The main characters are not likable. I I don’t like how the characters are always fighting. I prefer the paleontologist parts. The book is educational. I learned about musical instruments early humans and neanderthals made. This book is better than the first one. I will read the next one.
