Lucy and the Dragonfly
Well, first Lucy was on a nice, beautiful planet, and then people started messing it up. There’s an interesting part where the Earth’s heartbeat was doing something it wasn’t supposed to. Lucy was sad because the Earth wasn’t right because the leaves on the trees were falling before they turned color, and the lake was turning into mud. There were some other people who were trying to save the earth in their village. They were talking about the elders of the village, and that was interesting…. I had never heard of that before. I thought, “Oh, this is cool to know…it’s kind of like, wait, what’s an elder?” So you probably want to look that up. Then people all over the world tried to cure Lucy. They were trying to cure her, so they were giving the Earth plants and riding bikes instead of driving cars, and people were collecting water. My favorite part was when Lucy was sitting on a swing, and she had a dragonfly on her shoulder, and it was a beautiful picture. What I didn’t like is there were two pictures of Lucy–one was colored and one wasn’t…. It just seemed weird. People who want to save the Earth and want to have fun on the beautiful Earth should read this book. Or just maybe all people would love to read this book. This book will teach you something. It will teach you that you should try to take care of the Earth. Because people are ruining the Earth by cutting down trees and rainforests, and they’ve been putting junk in the water supply so we can only drink certain waters.
