Love in the Age of Dragons: A Novel
After a wormhole opened on Earth and allowed dragons to walk through, they razed civilizations and sent all of humanity underground. Ayanna Grace, a teenage girl who has lived in a subway system for the last two years, is feeling desperate. Disease, revolts, and dragon attacks are all common, and even worse, the community’s sole doctor is extremely sick.
Ayanna needs to find a cure, but even while she is fighting real-world problems, she is also grappling with her feelings. Richard, with whom she has an unbreakable bond, and Jackson, the new boy, are both stars in the play of her heart. But can she overcome her emotions and find a way to save hundreds?
The world and story building was good, but I found it hard to connect with Ayanna as a character and the romance was kind of blunt. The pacing of the book was good and I enjoyed reading it, and the buildup and anticipation are apparent on each page right up to the end! I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a new sci-fi thriller.
