Love from a Star
This book is very different from any other I have ever read. It has a star talking to a little bear. She says she cannot be seen by the bear but she can see him when the lights are turned off at night. The star is always there, day and night, wherever the bear is. The star is God’s light and God put it there to watch over him, to guide him and to keep him save. It is a gift given with love and sparkle. So there is no reason for the bear to be afraid at night, all alone in his bed. The star is always there to watch him all the time.
The pictures in the book were sweet and loving, but the story of the star did not interest me very much. I do not feel alone and I do not feel that I need a star to protect me. [Note from Mom: since our son sleeps with us, he had a hard time relating to the fear of being alone at night]
