Loula and Mister the Monster

Loula loves her dog, Mister, but he makes a lot of messes. Loula thinks her mom is going to throw her dog out, because he’s always too hungry, too messy, too sleepy, and too floppy. But she was talking about the monster plant! But Loula doesn’t know that. So she decides to teach Mister some good manners. But he eats all the food, and jumps in the fountain, and runs through the park and even runs into a museum and knocks things over! So Loula is really sad, but her mom says she isn’t going to get rid of Mister – she says, “What would we do without him!”

The pictures in this book are funny. The dog is a big dog who always makes a lot of messes. I think it is funny when Loula puts her dad’s tie on Mister and then she cuts it – I don’t think her dad would like that! I was glad that Loula’s mom wasn’t going to get rid of the dog. My favorite part was at the end, where the mom was getting rid of the plant!
