In this book, two explorers, Marco and Amelia, travel around the world and visit different famous mountains. My daddy told me that Marco is a good name because of Marco Polo, who was an Italian who visited China hundreds of years ago. He said Amelia is a good name for an explorer because it could come from Amelia Earhart, a famous American pilot who tried to fly around the world. There are lots of facts, activities, and things to do in this book. There are also stickers you can use in the book and there is a series of questions to answer. I thought it was really neat to learn about all the different mountains. My two favorite mountains were Denali Mountain in Alaska and Mt. Fuji in Japan. Mt. Fuji is a volcanic mountain! I would have liked this book a little better if the maps were more detailed, but I thought it was a very good book, and I liked learning about the mountains. I think that boys and girls ages five to ten who like to travel and learn about far away places would enjoy this book.
