Loki: Where Mischief Lies
We know the story of the Asgardian god of mischief, of how he fought the Avengers and destroyed New York. Or do we? Years before his rain of destruction Loki only wants to prove himself worthy of being king to everyone who deems him unfit… Except for Amora, a sorceress in training. But when they accidentally shatter one of Asgards most precious relics Amora is banished to earth to slowly loose her powers and die. When Asgardian magic is connected to mysterious murders on earth, Loki is sent to investigate. In nineteenth-century London, Loki finds that not everything is as it seems-and perhaps even whom he’s meant to be.
Each character has their own unique back-story that you’re told just enough of to get to know who they are. There were multiple plot twists that had me on the edge of my seat, desperate to know what was going to happen next. /Where Mischief Lies/ was well narrated, even though it was from Loki’s point of view you can’t always tell what’s going through his head. I’d recommend this book to any fan of Loki who wants to see more of who he is. This action-packed story is a great addition to Marvel canon.
