Lockwood & Co., Book 2 The Whispering Skull
This series is about ghosts and mysteries. In the world of the books, ghosts are a part of everyday life, but sometimes they haunt people and places and cause problems. Teen ghost detectives, who are able to use their special talents of seeing, hearing, and touching ghosts before their skills fade in adulthood, use different methods to destroy the sources that allow ghosts, or Visitors, to enter the world. In the first book, the members of Lockwood & Co., Lucy, Lockwood, and George, solved the case of the Screaming Staircase. This second book tells about how the teen detectives are at war with the Fittes agents about who is the better investigative company. They go into competition with the other teens by trying to unravel how a phantom died and how to catch it. A skull in a ghost jar helps Lucy, Lockwood, and George crack the case.
The book is very amusing and scary (at times) and will keep you up at night. I liked the characters and how they interact with each other, and I am already very eager for the next Lockwood & Co. installment.
