Lizard from the Park
A boy brought home an egg from the deepest, darkest part of the park. The next day, a little lizard busted through! So he called the lizard “Buster”. They spend all their time together, and the days and weeks pass, but Buster became bigger and bigger, and it was harder and harder to disguise Buster in the crowd. So then the boy kept Buster in his room. Buster didn’t like that. Then the boy took Buster to the roof, but it would be only a limited amount of time until he outgrew that too. Finally the boy had to take Buster back to the park, where, in the deepest darkest part of the park, they found Buster’s family!
I love this book. First of all and most of all, the illustrations are awesome. Secondly, the lizard is cute. Also, it is a little challenging to find the boy’s friend in every picture and to find the lizard, so that is fun. The book has a great picture on the front that makes you want to read it, and it has a surprising ending. This is a really nice story that children will love to read over and over again.
