Little Robot Alone, by Patricia MacLachlan and Emily MacLachlan Charest, is a story about friendship. Little robot liked his life, but he was very lonely. So he worked and worked and worked and built a friend. He worked really hard, and he made a dog robot. At first, the dog robot did not turn on. The little robot did not give up; he kept tinkering. Finally, he was successful, and the dog robot turned on. The dog robot became the little robot’s new best friend. I think the little robot and the dog robot were very cute. I especially liked the dog robot’s cute broom tail and his button nose. When you press his button nose, it turns the dog robot on. My favorite part of the story was when the little robot built the dog robot because instead of finding a friend, the little robot decided to build a friend. If you are having a hard time finding friends, you can build one instead.
