Little Penguins
A little penguin sees one snowflake, then many, and he goes to get his brothers and sisters. They realize that winter is coming, and they get all excited. They all get mittens and matching scarves, then socks and boots, all matching as well. They take their sled and start playing and sledding down the snow, which has become very deep. So deep that, after playing and walking for a while, they can no longer find their mom. There is a moment of fear, then they see she is on her way to pick them up to go home. Once home, they lose their scarves, mittens, socks, and boots and ask for warm cookies and warm drinks. Mom serves both to them.
Then they go to bed, all tucked in and warm. Winter is out, very cold, outside their igloo.
I enjoyed this book very much. It was easy for me to read by myself, and I enjoyed the pictures of the little penguins. They were so cute I felt like hugging them to keep them all warm and cozy!
