Lightning Catcher: The Storm Tower Thief
In this world, there are things that are just true. Three of these are: one, going to Perilous is awesome; two, Uncle Max’s inventions are horrible; and three, Angus’s new-found Uncle Jeremius is so cool. Which, of course, means that Angus was attacked by yet another of Uncle Max’s malfunctioning inventions. While he and Uncle Max were busy cleaning up the mess, Angus answered the door to discover that he had another uncle—Jeremius—who would be taking him back to Perilous…which is “completely” covered in snow and ice (but not really). Now back in Perilous with his best friends Dougal Dewsnap and Indigo Midnight, and his mortal nemeses Pixie and Percival Vellum, things are bound to get interesting for Angus McFangus.
Yet again, I’ve read a book that came later in a series (sighs dramatically). Ah well, it was a great book, even without having read the first. It was fun to see what sorts of adventures Angus and his friends could get up to as the weather got more and more…perilous. This funny story makes me want to read more from the series.
