Lauren is ecstatic to be going to pony camp at Sunnyside Stables to learn more about dressage, which is the art of riding and training a horse for obedience, flexibility, and balance. She is excited because other girls at camp love dressage as much as she does, while girls near home prefer showjumping. Lauren gets Lucky, who is a fantastic, sweet blue roan cob. Then, Lauren hears that they get to do dressage to music! Life couldn’t be better!

Everything is going well until Arabella, another girl at camp, starts being mean to Lauren. She says ugly things to Lauren and Lucky, like how they do not have a chance of winning the competition at the end of the week. Poor Lauren has no idea why Arabella is so mean!

Could what Arabella says be true? How should Lauren handle a bully?

I liked this book because it is about horses. I always enjoy reading stories with horses in them. It also has a positive message about how to deal with bullies and ways to be a good friend.
