Lali’s Feather
Lali’s Feather is a very colorfully illustrated story that takes place in India. Lali finds what many animals seem to think is a small, ordinary feather, but she thinks it is a fine little feather and decides she must find where it belongs. Lali checks with rooster, crow, and peacock, as well as with other birds, but they think the feather is small and pokey. Lali knows that if she is persistent she will find the little feather’s home.
Lali has so much fun with the feather. She tickles her family and makes them sneeze, but one day the little feather gets away. Once the birds see how sad Lali is, they are determined to help her find her feather and realize that maybe, just maybe, they aren’t seeing the feather in the same way Lali is. The feather must be special for some reason, so the birds try to find the feather to find out what is so special about it.
Lali’s Feather is a very colorfully illustrated story that shows great detail in each of the birds. My favorite part of the story is how all the birds work together to find the feather for Lali.
