Kingfisher Readers Explorers tells the reader about many of the famous explorers of the world like Magellan, Armstrong, Lewis & Clark and many others. You will learn about lots about famous explorers, especially in American history, as you go through this journey in time. You’ll explore modern day adventuring as well, like exploring space, landing on the moon, and learning the secrets about underwater caves. Each explorer or adventure gets about two pages of information and pictures. I thought the drawings and photos were particularly interesting.

I would recommend this book if you like facts and history because it shows you a lot about explorer history, maps of what happened and details accounts of their expeditions. I thought it was going to be a boring reference book, but once I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down. It was much better than I expected. If you’re not that interested in history, then I wouldn’t recommend it. I think it’s best for kids who are 7 years old and up.
