Lindy is given a special assignment at the end of the school year! Find your passion for what you would like to become later in life! Everyone is excited about it but Lindy because she has no idea what hers might be.
Because Lindy’s parents are very busy trying to save their new bed and breakfast, her neighbor, together with her nephew Taylor, offer to take her around the city on Saturdays to see what Lindy might enjoy doing.

After a few unsuccessful tries, visiting places all around New York, Taylor suggests going to the hospital where his dog works as a therapy dog. There, Lindy finally discovers her special talent. She starts sharing stories from her notebooks with patients and notices how much people love hearing them. She also discovers that she’s wonderful with dogs and discovers an idea to save her parents’ bed and breakfast. Her mum starts decorating the rooms based on plays from Broadway, and Lindy suggests allowing dogs in all the rooms. Both ideas help save the hotel, and Lindy finally knows what her passions in life are!

The book took a different path than I expected. I enjoyed the story, though, and the short poems and stories from Lindy. The book would be great for tweens and teens because it might be a little boring for younger kids!
