Journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens Lost Stars
This book starts when Palpatine becomes Emperor. Thane and Ciena are the main characters. They are kids who want to become Imperial Officers. They go to the academy. They run into Darth Vader, the Emperor, Princess Leia, Grand Moff Tarkin, Luke Skywalker, and other characters. Thane leaves because he finds out the Empire is evil. Ciena stays because she made an oath to serve the Empire. Thane and Ciena love each other. (It’s funny when Thane realizes Ciena is a girl.) They fight each other on Hoth and Jakku. Will they survive? Read the book to find out.
This book needs more action. I liked the battle on Hoth. The battle on Jakku was just them arguing. The arguing got boring. The love story part was not my favorite. There was too much kissing and stuff. Older kids might enjoy the book more, maybe twelve.
My favorite character was Lohgarra, a Wookie captain. My least favorite characters were Thane and Ciena. (They seemed to be even more kissy than Han and Leia.) All Ciena does is think about Thane, and Thane thinks about Ciena. I would have joined the rebels like Thane, but I could understand why Ciena stayed.
