Jasmine Toguchi, Brave Explorer
Jasmine is going on a vacation with her family to Japan! It’s Jasmine’s first time going on a big vacation so she is very excited. When they arrive, there is too much to see. However, it’s hard to have fun when Jasmine’s older sister, Sophie, is ruining all the fun with her bad attitude. Another problem is that Jasmine doesn’t know that things like pointing are rude when you’re in Japan. How will Jasmine find a way to make this vacation more fun?
I liked this book and thought it was very silly and touching. My favorite part was the part where Jasmine thought that a street called “Ramen Street” was a street made of ramen. I also liked the part where Jasmine packed way too many belongings in her suitcase. My favorite character is Jasmine because I think that she is funny, and I don’t like Sophie because she’s a know-it-all so I find her annoying. I recommend this book to people who like the Jasmine Toguchi stories and are interested in Japan.
