It’s an Orange Aardvark!
There’s some lightning. The ants are scared. Wrrrr. An ant drills a window to see what’s outside. The ants with blue hats are excited. The ant with the orange hat is a scaredy cat. He thinks an aardvark is outside. They see orange out the hole. Most ants are happy, but the scaredy cat still thinks it’s an aardvark. The second hole is blue. (I say it is blueberries, not an orange aardvark wearing pajamas. How do the pajamas make it worse?) The next hole shows red. The scaredy cat says something I don’t want to say. It’s a surprise. The next color is green. They drill more holes. Read the book to find out what the colors really are. The artist just drew eyes on the ant and cut the mouth out, so it looks green. I like this book better than Perfect Square and My Heart is Like a Zoo. I like the scaredy cat ant, because he has an active imagination like me. I also like the ants who say “Red like a fire truck” and “Awesome!” My favorite part is guessing the colors. Babies will like this book.
