Israel (Let’s Go Explore)

This book has a map on the first page and lots of facts and colorful pictures about Israel. The map shows where Israel is in the world. It was exciting to read about 400 copper objects that were discovered near the Dead Sea. It was also interesting to read about David Ben-Gurion who became the first Prime Minister and the third. There are pictures in the back cover. My favorite picture is that of a hoopoe, the national bird of Israel. A hoopoe can peck through stone with their strong beak! Did you know that more than 500 birds live in Israel? If I ever go to Israel, I would like to eat Zatar with bread and float on the water of the Dead Sea. The size of the words makes the book easy to read. Children under 6 years old may need help reading and understanding this book.
